Randal Og 3:13 Lough Rovers 1:12
The quarter final of the county junior b hurling championship was played at Ballygarvan on Sunday evening last against Lough Rovers.
Randal’s got two early goals which gave them a lead that was never lost.
The first goal scored by Sam Kingston, seconds later was followed by another from Seadhna Crowley in the seventh minute.
A great run from Padraig O’Sullivan got him through for a point, Lough Rovers got their only goal shortly after.
Points by Donnacha Collins and Seadhna Crowley made it 2:03 to 1:0 as we approached the second quarter.
Lough Rovers scored eight points in the following period, Sean Daly got two points from frees and another from a sixty-five made it 2:06 to 1:08 at half time.
Randal’s increased their narrow lead significantly in the third quarter with Sean Daly scoring three points from frees with Peter Collins and Padraig O’Sullivan adding two more.
Lough Rovers got a point back and it was 2:11 to 1:09 with about forty-five minutes gone.
Padraig Galvin got Randal’s third goal. Lough Rovers scored three points in the closing minutes as Sean Daly sent over two more to leave it 3:13 to 1:12 at the full-time whistle.
Randal Og’s will now play Ballyclough in the Cork County Junior B Hurling Semi-Final on Saturday 4th July @ 4pm in Ovens
