Junior football championship - Randals v Goleen - 2020-09-17 10:35:00

Randals and Goleen met at Castlehaven on Sunday last, 13th Sepember, in the junior B football championship semifinal. 

Goleen had the advantage of the wind , such as it was, in the first half. It was a fine but cool day with a fresh  westerly breeze which had little effect on the scoring.

Conor O'Neill opened the scoring, sending over from a free in the first minute. Goleen replied with two points, one from play and one from a free,. Donncha Collins and Kevin Dullea replied in kind to restore Randals lead, 0-3 to 0-2, at first water break,

On resumption, Donncha Collins was on target again as he fielded a high ball and sent over another, Goleen got three points in a row, coming up to half time, but another high ball dropping in towards the square was captured by Gerard Lynch who finished it to the net for the first and only goal of the game.

It was 1-4 to 0-5 at half time

Early in the second half Ian Crowley punched over another point, giving Randals a goal lead.  A Goleen point was followed by two more from Conor O'Neill and Donncha Collins

It was score for score from then on as Goleen tried to reduce rhe margin but the goal difference was still there for most of the remaining minutes.

Two more points from Goleen and at second water break it was 1-7 to 0-8.

Eoin O'Sullivan, from a free, Donncha Collins and Gerard Lynch added three more with Goleen getting two from frees in between. 

Keviin Dullea got the last score of the game and it was: Randal Og  1-11 Goleen 0-10 at full time,
