The footballers had their opening outing in the league, away to Bandon on Saturday night last, 9th February.
Played under lights, it was a close hard fought game, with no more than one or two points between the sides for most of the hour.
Luckily the rain, that was forecast, did not arrive until after the final whistle.
There were only two scores in the first quarter. Bandon got a point after five minutes and the equaliser by Kevin Dullea came a minute later.
The scoring rate picked up in the second quarter. Seadhna Crowley put Randals ahead after sixteen minutes. Bandon got their second score a minute later but Seadhna restored the lead, from a free, on twenty minutes.
It was level again two minutes later, before Donncha Collins got Randals' fourth point but Bandon got three back coming up to half time.
Eoin O'Sullivan, from a free, had the last score of the half and it was Bandon 0-6 Randals 0-5 at the break.
Conor O'Neill made it all square again within two minutes of resumption. After about eight scoreless minutes Bandon regained the lead, but this was followed by two quick points from Kevin Dullea and then came the only goal of the game, finished off by Barry O'Driscoll.
Randals were 1-8 to 0-7 ahead going into the final quarter.
However, Bandon finished strongly, sending over four points in the next ten minutes and adding the winning score close to injury time.
It was Bandon 0-12 Randal Og 1-8 at full time .
