Randals and Dohenys met in junior hurling league game in Dunmanway on Saturday evening last, 18th August.
It was a dull overcast evening but the expected heavy rain did not come. Point for point it was,with little between the sides for most of the first half.
Shane Patterson was well on target from frees and with Seamus Crowley also finding the range, Randals were ahead with about twenty minutes gone. Dohenys however got the first goal of the game three minutes later, to gain a lead which they held for the remainder of the game.
Shane Patterson scored from a free again coming up to half time which saw Dohenys leading by 1-7 to 0-6.
Early second half points put Dohenys further ahead and even three points from Shane Patterson and another from Eoin O'Sullivan did not close the gap.
A Randal goal came with about ten minutes to go, to make 1-12 to 1-10 but Dohenys finished strongly.
It was Dohenys 1-16 Randal Og 1-11 at full time.
