Football championship replay- Randals v Goleen - 2018-06-25 19:54:00

It was back to Castlehaven on Friday evening last for football championship replay with Goleen. For most of the Randals' team this was their seventh championship match in the space of just six weeks.

However, the game started well as Randals got off to a flying start. The opening score came from Seadfna Crowley after about twenty five seconds. Seamus Crowley was on target within two minutes and a Seadhna Crowley free brought the third point, with four minutes gone. 

Goleen got their opening score, from a free, after eight  minutes.

Fourteen minutes were gone, when Brian Dullea set up Sam Kingston to increase the lead and Ian Crowley made it 0-5 to 0-1 a minute later.

Goleen got their second point after twenty three minutes, before conceding another from Seadhna Crowley, But, indications of what was to come, they got two more brfore half time, at which stage it was Randals 0 -6 to 0-4 ahead.

A Goleen point early, in the second half, left just one between the sides. Seadhna Crowley got Randals' last score,  a point, with thirty six minutes gone - 0-7 to 0-5.

Goleen were more in control as the game went on, but it took them some time to draw level and go ahead. They went into the lead early in the last quarter and added four more ponts before the final whistle, including one in injury time.
