The footballers travelled to Glengarriffe on Saturday evening, 7th July, for the return league game against the home side.
This was a game of two contrasting halves, an evenly contested first period with scores level at the break and a second half which saw Glengarriffe run out winners as they built up a convincing lead in the final quarter.
Glengarriffe were first to score with a point after eight minutes. A pointed free by Owen O'Sullivan added to by Conor O'Donovan put Randals into the lead. Glengarriffe scored three points in succession but Owen O'Sullivan was again on target and points on seventeen and twenty one minutes made it 0-4 all.
Glengarriffe went two ahead again but Fergal Kelly and Owen O'Sullivan, again, replied and it was level at 0-6 at half time.
It was a low scoring third quarter. Shane Patterson got a point early on and Ian Crowley another after seven minutes but both scores were replied to and it was level again at 0-8 going into the final quarter. Glengarriffe scored five points without reply over a seven minute period to go into a 0-13 to 0-8 lead.
Shane Patterson pointed in the twenty third minute but Glengarriffe were back for four more going into the closing stages.
Gerard Lynch with a point in injury time left it Glengarriffe 0-18 Randal Og 0-10 at the end.
