The under 21 footballers traveled to Ardfield on Saturday eveningto meet Clonakilty B in the semi-final of the Championship Cup. There were clear skies and bright sunshine but with a stiff easterly breeze.
Clon started strongly. They got the first score, a point, after three minutes and they stretched their lead with a goal and another point to go five ahead with six minutes gone.
A minute later Owen O'Sullivan, gaining possession outfield, raced through the Clon defence to bury Randals' first goal. Donnchadh Collins, with goal number two on ten minutes, and Owen O'Sullivan, again on target, made it 3-0 to 1-2 near the end of the first quarter.

But over the next ten minutes Clon added on four points in succession to go two up as the game entered the final stages.
No goals were scored in the second half, with Ciaran Murray fairly well unbeatable and Randals unlucky with the goal chances they created, A goal was needed but it did not come.
Clon scored again in the thirtieth minute and Owen O' Sullivan had the last word with a point in injury time. Full time score Clonakilty B 1-12 Randal Og 3-4.
