Junior hurling championship - 2016-08-22 19:00:00

We made a disappointing exit from the junior hurling championship in the semi-final against St. Mary's in Rossmore on Saturday evening last.
Within seconds of the throw in our opponents had their first score and they added three more including a goal by the fifth minute.
We created some scoring chances but scores eluded us and as time went on St. Mary's continued to find the range. Our first score came in the twenty fourth minute, a point from Patrick Crowley.
Conor O'Donovan got a second a few minutes later and then Johnny Collins found the St. Mary's net close to half time. That left it 1-10 to 1-2.
A second goal from St. Mary's came early in the second half and it upset any hopes that our resurgence would continue. In fact we got only one during the second period, a point from Johnny  Collins in the fifth minute. The full time score tells the remainder of the story :
St. Mary's  2-22  Randal Og  1-3.
